Gentles all,

I am having some serious Sewing Machine Anxiety. I bought a nice little White almost a year ago if not more, and in addition to just being terrified of threading machines in general, recently the little tiny wiry thingy (I have NO idea what it's called, but it wraps around a knob and bounces when you put the thread through it and up over into the next whole before threading the actual needle) has gotten bent. I wonder if it is bent beyond repair. But it is such a small piece that I'm sure there must be some way to repair it...aside from that problem the machine is probably in very good condition, next to new!

So I don't know what to do. I would really like to use it again...or at least have time to learn how, but I have to have this fixed first. Does anyone know anything about sewing machine repair? Should I look into professional services, and if I do, will they charge me a limb, literally?

Please help me with some calming advice, so that I can make another attempt to bond with my sewing machine...

THANK YOU!

Damiane
