Carnevale di Inverno is but a few weeks away on February 26, 2005 in Seneca, SC. The Canton of St. Georges is pleased to host this wonderous day.

The photos you see on the Carnevale di Inverno web site are indeed elaborate. They are also photographs of real Carnevale di Venezia costuming. We chose some period photos for examples on the site. http://stgeorge.atlantia.sca.org/events/carnevale.htm

Whereas we hope many will choose to be this elaborate, you will see a variety of costuming. We have a wide array of costumes in St. Georges' alone. While Baroness Arnora's gown is simple, her mask is quite the focal point. Mine is a peacock, simply done so that I may move about and assist with Autocratting needs. Lord Iamys will be Zeus. His elegant garb will be accented by a Zeus-looking mask. Baron Johann will be in simple garb with a simple gold mask. Lady Mariana will be a phoenix, complete with headdress. So you see, there is a variety that will be there.

Please be as simple or elaborate as you choose. Having a mask, of any kind, will ensure that you blend with the crowd.

Remember to reserve for feast as quickly as you can. There is a limited number of spaces. Pages and Sponsors also need to notify me of their attendance now.
