Feb. 20th we will host a Japanese sewing afternoon.

Starting at 1 PM at our house, 6899 Ridge Water Ct., Centreville, VA,
people are invited to come over and work on garb.

Men: We will be concentrating on a kariginu outfit. This includes:
 	Kosode
 	Kariginu ('hunting robe')
 	Sashinuki (Heian period trousers)

Type of (pre-washed/pre-dyed [if appropriate]) fabric to bring:
   Kosode
 	Fabric: Muslin, Silk, Linen
         Size: 45" @ 5~6 yd (or 60" @ 4yd)
 	Color: White
   Kariginu:
Fabric: Linen, Silk w/body (organza, etc.). Patterned or
unpatterened.
 	Size: 60 " @ 4~5 yd or 45" @ 6 yd
Color: Any. White is especially appropriate for servants.
   Sashinuki:
       Main legs:
Fabric: Linen, Silk w/body, etc. Patterned or unpatterned
 	Size: 45" @ 6 yd or 60" @ 4yd
Color: Any. Servants should have plain white.
(Cotton may be used in place of linen, but might not have appropriate
body. Bright colors are good--lime green, etc.)
       Waist ties:
 	Fabric: same as legs
 	Size: 60" @ length of your waist or 45" @ (Your Waist * 2 / 3)
Color: White. If you feel uncomfortable with white because you
feel it is too much like a belt, an off-white is acceptable (note: this is
ties for the garment, and it is entirely under the outer robe. However,
use your own judgment.

I will post women's measurements when I get back from Jodo and Batto.
