[Ponte Alto] Greetings

Howdy Lady Freydis,
I am Lady Heather of LochRaven.  What you do sounds fun, but this is coming from a woman who has had half of her elders as med people and the other half teachers.  Vivat in what you do.  
I have a husband, Javis the Uaslander, or Rex.  He has been in the SCA for since he was 18 and now he is 46, I think.  Numbers don't mean much here.  I have been in the SCA for a far shorter time.  About ten years.  
My real name is Heather.  I live on a family fruit farm in Beaverdam, VA.  We grew pears and grapes right now.  We do have a nice bunch of gooseberrys but they are just a little thing right now.  We also grew pecans and black walnuts.  If you haven't guessed already, I am into the cooking and dyeing and textiles and making wine.  Soon we shall get a portion of this land and we shall make our own pots.  The soil is marvolous for that.  Hey live on a farm, use the natural resources.  There is also a river on it.  Lovely river.
I am involved with Ponte Alto because my Cousins and Sister and Brother-in law, with their daughter live up there.  At one time in Ponte Alto, same as me.  But we all split away.  We went south, still helping Ponte Alto out when need be.  My cousins became the Baron and Baroness of Stierbach.  I like calling it "The Moo."  You shall find out why?    And my sister and them moved up to Gaithersburg, MD.  But we are still part of Ponte Alto.  We still have friends in Ponte Alto.  Some of them I would not give up.
If you are not doing anything Oct. 23, please come to "Sheep's Tale."  My sister will be the autocrat, and I will be running the Children's activities.  It will be a fun day for the children, if not for me.  I love children.

Greetings fellow SCAdians.  My name is Lady Freydis Olafsdottir and I hail from Oertha, the mighty Northern Territories!  After a period of inactivity, my family and I have re-dedicated ourselves to the SCA.  My Lord and I have been involved in the SCA for 20+ years.  Mundane obligations have unfortunately kept us from keeping participation constant (I’m AD military – stationed at the Pentagon).  

 

We wish to introduce ourselves at some point in person, but for now, we introduce ourselves via the mailing list.

I am Lady Freydis Olafsdottir, a 10th C Viking woman hailing from Iceland.

My name is registered in the College of Heralds, and I do have a device registered as well: Gyronny Argent and Gules, on a pellet a decrescent argent.

I have served as the Kingdom Chiurgeon for Meridies as well as the Baronial Chiurgeon for The Barony of Eskalya (Anchorage, Alaska) and Deputy Chiurgeon for the Principality of Oertha.

 

Mundanely, I am Julie.  I’m a Major in the Air Force.  By profession, I am an Operating Room Nurse, but I’m currently working for the AF Surgeon General’s office in the Modernization Directorate.  Basically I evaluate or validate new toys for the medics…and I assist in launching new software packages for the AF medical corps.  I am married and have two lovely daughters ages 11 and 14.  Both my children have grown up in the SCA and look forward to their mom and dad getting back to “home”.
