O.K. I have a 50ft overrun.

A ghost adds 250 ft

Anyone else interested in jointly buying a ghost ?

(I prefer ghosts from old Scottish castles since I could then not understand
what they are wailing)

LOL

Please Use the Land Calculator when determining your square footage.

I have received a number of registrations with incorrect calculations
regarding the square footage of the tent footprint.

The square footage is not just the length times the width of the tent. It
also must include a fire safety buffer. If you have a modern or period tent
with ropes that need to extend more than 6 inches from the bottom of your
tent you need to check the box for ropes. The calculator is designed to add
the proper space and give you corrrect square footage.

Here are the basic instructions from the Land Calculator Page.

Computing the footprint of your camping area:

The dimensions of your tent:
If ropes are needed to stake your tent, 6 feet will be added to the length
and 6 feet to the width of your tent measurements.
Ex. A 10 by 10 tent with ropes will have a final footprint of 16 by 16. This
amount is required in order to meet fire safety regulations.

If no ropes are needed, 3 feet will be added to the length and 3 feet to the
width for fire safety regulations.
Ex. A 10 by 10 tent without ropes will have a final footprint of 13 by 13.

If you have an attached dining fly, include the amount that it projects from
your tent in the measurement for that side of your tent.

If you have a separate dining fly:
Please include the dimensions in the second tent section, if applicable.
Again, 6 ft. will be added to width and length if ropes are needed, 3 ft. if
no ropes are needed. If your dining canopy and tent have no ropes they must
still be three feet apart for fire safety regulations.

Extra Space must be in the positive. If you have an Overrun, you may need to
register another person in order to have enough land allotted for your
encampment. According to Pennsic regulations you may not register a "ghost"
child since children are charged less. You may register a ghost adult and
pay that fee in order to get enough land for your encampment. You can also
"share" a registration with other campers to meet that goal.
