[Ponte Alto] FW: More thanks

Attached is a photo of my brother. That's a big smile for him. Thanks again
for all who have sent things to his unit for the holidays. It is greatly
appreciated.

 

Dave signed up to be a soldier when he was very young, about 19 years old.
Mom freaked out and pulled strings to get him out of the full-time military
and into the National Guard. He's a veteran of the Gulf War and is hoping
now to get home from this war. It's hard to tell he's 34.

Hi Sarah. Thanks for the boxes and more boxes have come in from Black Talon
members. I have attached a photo of me for you to show them. I am on a raid
mission in Baqubah. This is right after the mission. Nearby but off camera
are the body parts of a guy who blew himself up while setting up an IED or
improvised explosive device. In this case it was three 155mm artillery
rounds, each with 95 lbs of high explosive. The shrapnel from those is scary
to look at and razar sharp. We never found his head.
