Whoops, wrong term. Sorry. The picture I was looking at looked more like
articulated armor one would wear around the hips and upper thighs. It
confused me as it was out of context of a whole suit of plate. But it's an
amusing picture, the fighter who's been whacked so hard his shoulders are
now down around his thighs (and calling the shot light of course). ;)

Don't some folks also strap or lace the elbow cops right to the gambeson?
I've seen lacings at the shoulders for the armor on the upper arm or
shoulder. Is something for elbow cops ever used?
