[Ponte Alto] Chalice of the Sun God -- CANCELLED

To the Populace of Ponte Alto, Greetings!

It is with heavy heart that I must announce that Chalice of the Sun God is
CANCELLED.

After speaking with the staff at Prince William Forest Park, it is clear
that even though the storm will have passed by Saturday, the park will
likely still be closed as of Saturday morning so that work crews can clean
out the inevitable fallen trees, etc.  There is also a high liklihood of
flooding and power outages which will affect both the site and attendees.

Thanks to all of you who worked so hard and came so close to making this
vision a reality.  I am so sorry that right now, we can not bring this dream
to fruition.

Those of you who have pre-registered will be able to get a refund.  We will
announce the policies and procedures for obtaining a refund sometime next
week after consultation with my Exchequer.

Please do what you can to get the word out that the event is cancelled by
forwarding this to other lists.  (I will be handling the Merry Rose &
Storvik....please avoid duplication.)

I may call upon some of you to assist in posting signs at the park to inform
individuals who do not get these emails.  I will contact you off-list.

Thanks again, so much.  We'll just have to look forward to next year to do
this.
