Yesterday Archaeology News reported on the discovery of royal Polish and
Lithuanian treasures found in a crypt beneath a cathedral in Vilnius,
Lithuania.
The treasure consists of crowns, orbs, scepters, rings and other bling.
These were not daily royal wear, but special regalia just for funerals. The
treasures were found in a hidden chamber in the crypts beneath the
Cathedral of St. Stanislaus and St. Ladislaus.
