[MR] History Blog: Huge On-line Da Vinci Hub Opens

Today's History Blog announces the opening of a virtual Da Vinci portal
linking online exhibitions at 28 museums through Google Arts & Culture. The
site is called "Inside a Genius Mind". The portal allows access to
biographical information, Da Vinci's artistic works, his inventions and
much, much more.

The one thing missing is a proper search engine. It may be in there
someplace, but where escapes me. I was curious to find Leonardo's
rapid-fire crossbow, shown in CODEX ATLANTICUS on folios 143r, 153r and
155r. This weapon had a lever-action spanning mechanism built into the

is beyond me, but it would be so cool at an SCA archery tournament.
