I have received questions about the Augmentations that were bestowed by Their Majesties at Atlantian 12th Night.  To clarify, these are Augmentations and not a new Award or Order.  While Atlantia does have an Order of the Narwhal and associated badge registered, the Order is not currently defined nor part of our Order of Precedence.

An Augmentation of Arms is a neat heraldic thing that you can add as an enhancement to your Arms.  To reflect the circumstances and the work these individuals have done for Atlantia during the pandemic, Their Majesties requested an Augmentation that is thematically Atlantian as well as unique among the Augmentations that have been bestowed in the past.  Hence, the narwhal haurient (haurient = swimming towards the top of the shield).  No tincture (heraldspeak for color) has been specified so recipients can tailor the Augmentation to their Arms more easily.

Recipients are not required to register their Augmentations.  Registering an Augmentation to one's Arms follows the normal heraldic submission process and incurs the normal fees for registering a device/Arms.  The only additional requirement is citing the entry in the Order of Precedence that demonstrates that the person is entitled to the Augmentation.  Please note that only one's Arms can be augmented.  Augmentations cannot be applied to badges.
