Noble Friends,
While searching on the English Heritage web site for another project, I ran
across several interesting illustrated articles about the Carthusian Order
in England. The Carthusians were a major force in medieval Religious life
in England, and had nine important houses. The Carthusians led the
opposition to Henry VIII's divorce and Act of Supremacy, and their downfall
was quick and particularly brutal.
