Noble Friends,

Nothing to do while you're stuck indoors this summer? Well, make a big bowl
of popcorn, because Lady Sarah Sinclair found you FIVE HOURS of YouTube
videos on building Guédelon Castle in France (a TV series aired in 2014).
This 13th century replica is being built entirely using period materials,
techniques, and even with its workers in costume, as a grand exercise in
experimental archaeology. (Since it is going to be open to the public, the
castle will contain modern lighting, safety features, and flushies).
Construction started in 1997 and is expected to go on until 2023.
