TOMORROW is the deadline to submit classes for the June 13 ONLINE session
of the University of Atlantia (university.atlantia.sca.org). Instructors
must be willing to offer classes in an online format. Preferred platforms
are Zoom or Google Hangouts. Please include your planned platform when
submitting your class.

*Need help deciding which platform you want to use? Here's a few resources
that may help:*

1) Wikipedia article comparing an array of online meeting platforms:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_web_conferencing_software
2) A comparison of Hangouts vs Zoom from Business Insider:
https://www.businessinsider.my/google-hangouts-vs-zoom
3) A comparison of Zoom vs Google Hangouts Lord Melchior, our Kingdom
Webminister, created with the help of Baroness Sophia and Baron Manus:

*To propose a class for this session:*

1) Read ALL of the below information.
2) Go to the University of Atlantia Website & log-in:
http://university.atlantia.sca.org/
3) Submit your class via the online class proposal form:
http://university.atlantia.sca.org/teach.php

*This will be the first session of the University of Atlantia to occur
entirely online. For this reason, please read ALL below information *before
your submitting class(es)*.*1) You MUST update your class info and provide
the link to access your class BEFORE June 5.
2) There will be a tech support team available for instructors and students
to support these two preferred platforms. June 6-7 there will class
connection dryruns for those who need to test their setup.
3) ALL students MUST pre-register to take a class.
4) No links to classes will be published publicly. Rather, registered
students will receive an email confirming class placement and a link to
access the class after student registration closes.
5) We strongly advise instructors to consider providing class handouts to
your students beforehand by putting a link to it in your class description.
Also, please consider recording your class and sharing a link to it with
your students / or submitting it and / or your class handouts to Virtual
Atlantia (virtual.atlantia.sca.org).

*Assisted Instructor Classes*

The University of Atlantia staff are pleased to offer a limited number of
"Assisted Instructor" class slots for the June 13 ONLINE session of
University. These "Assisted Instructor" classes are meant to allow less
tech savvy instructors the opportunity to teach.

Each of these classes will be hosted on Google Meet and a member of the
University A/V Club aka a classroom admin will run the online classroom,
pass the role of presenter to you, handle the recording of the class if
desired, monitor the chat function, and handle most all technological
issues save for you teaching. Though, you still will need a computer setup
with working speakers / headset, microphone, and webcam. If you are
interested in this opportunity, please note such in the "Other Special
Requirements" field in the online class proposal form.

Also our Kingdom Webminister, Lord Melchior (webinister at atlantia.sca.org)
has offered to do a test connection / presentation with you prior to
University if you would find this helpful.Thank you for supporting
University and sharing your knowledge with others.

In service,
