Noble Friends,

I know we're all missing our events, but with the exception of our
professional merchants, for most of us the SCA is just a weekend pastime.

Not so for our medieval friends in Britain and on the Continent, many of
whom belong to amateur or professional demonstration groups that depend on
paid bookings at festivals to survive. Les Amis d'Onno, is such a group.
They are a professional for-profit business that presents real jousts at
festivals. All of their business has dried up during the lock-down, but
they still have a farm and 22 horses to take care of.
