Noble Friends, Especially Vikings,

Yesterday the History Blog reported on a rare Viking ring found in a Dutch
cornfield. The ring is of silver, and made up of fine wires twisted into a
torque, similar to the neck pieces popular with wealthy Vikings. Wear on
one part of the ring suggests it was hung on a neck chain rather on a
finger. The ring dates to the 10th century.

Yours Aye,

Mungo Napier, Laird of Mallard Lodge 🦆
