Noble Friends,

Today the BBC is offering a story about a virtual reality tour of Owain
Glyndwr's stronghold, Sycharth Castle. He was the last native Prince of
Wales, and led a 1400 revolt against Henry IV. Clicking on the first photo
gets you a brief version of the tour with cutlines taken from the BBC text.
Nice, but not complete:

.

The actual much longer video clip which can seen in its entirety on YouTube
at https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=141&v=rxkhnYRul9w .

For you castle geeks, other Vivid Virtual Reality castle tours of
Beaumarais, Liverpool and Criccieth can be found at
https://www.vividvirtualreality.co.uk/videos/ . The video of Criccieth in a
rainstorm is particularly dramatic, especially the part with a very
wicked-looking trebuchet. Too bad it isn't shown in action. These are all
well worth viewing. You can stick with the Vivid Virtual Reality web site,
or go off on some other castle tours in the menu to the right of the
YouTube versions.

Ah castles! I need one. Here is am, in much-loved Mallard Lodge, a
comfortable but unfortified manor house.

Yours Aye,

Mungo Napier, Laird of Mallard Lodge 🦆
