Noble Friends, Especially Vikings,

Today the BBC is offering a brief illustrated feature on the mysterious
skeleton of a warrior found in 1928 at Prague Castle. The skeleton may, or
may not be of a Viking warrior. It has been interpreted by both the Nazis
and the Soviets to fit their racial and nationalist agendas. Today the
skeleton is being subjected to modern scientific tests, tests that so-far
indicate the warrior came from the southern shore of the Baltic Sea.

You can read the whole story at
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-50082866 .

Also note the video at the bottom of the story about a "Viking fight club"
not unlike the SCA, though they use blunted live steel. I've posted on this
video before, but it still bears watching. Great costumes. Fantastic
shields.

Yours Aye,

Mungo Napier, Laird of Mallard Lodge 🦆
