Noble Friends,

Recently the BBC featured a historical piece on a samurai named Yasuke, a
black man who became a famous warrior in feudal Japan. Yasuke was a protege
of a Japanese noble named Odu Nobanaga, something of a renaissance man and
internationalist. Yasuke was the first foreigner to be according the
samurai honor. He was remarkable not just for his ethnicity and his martial
prowess, but also because he was over six feet tall, a full head taller
than the typical Japanese male of the time:

Yasuke's fame will live on. BLACK PANTHER actor Chadwick Boseman has been
tapped to play the samurai in a major motion picture.

Yours Aye,
