Noble Friends,

The Bacton Altar Cloth, made from a dress worn by Queen Elizabeth I, has
gone on display at Hampton Court Palace. The cloth has been identified as
the gown worn by the Monarch in her "Rainbow Portrait", and is her last
known surviving garment. It was given to her attendant Blanche Parry, and
ended up being used as an atlar cloth in St. Faith's Church, Bacton,
Herfordshire, where Blanche often worshipped while at her family's estates.

The story and several photographs can be viewed at

Yours Aye,

Mungo Napier, Laird of Mallard Lodge 🦆
