Noble Friends,
According to the BBC, photography will again be allowed in Durham
Cathedral. The ban was instituted to avoid photographers interfering with
worship. The Gregory Chapel and certain other special areas will remain
off-limits to photography: https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-tyne-47439421
.
Accompanying the photography story is a brief video clip showing some of
Durham Cathedral's quirky secrets, including the highest bishop's throne in
Christendom. The Cathedral contains the tombs of St. Cuthbert and the
Venerable Bede.
More about the 11th century cathedral can be found at
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Durham_Cathedral .
Yours Aye,
Mungo Napier, Laird of Mallard Lodge 🦆
