Good and fair greeting to Their Majesties Christoph and Adelhait, to the Highnesses Cuan and Signy and to the Populace of Atlantia from Dame Wynne ferch Rhodri, Blue Shark Herald.

On the twenty-ninth day of June in the year A.S. 53, the Barony of Storvick once again held their Novice and Unbelted Tournament. Many were the Gentles of Fair Atlantia as well as a few from the East Realm in attendance. Though the sun shown hot and many felt as if they would melt at the slightest movement, there were blessed breezes to grant all a bit of relief.

On this rather warm morning their Majesties, Christoph and Adelhait granted Their Highnesses leave to hold a Regency Court in Their names. So, before the fighting, on the very list field where the might of Atlantia would challenge one another, Cuan and Signy strode to the middle and bade Their Herald to first call together all the Bards in attendance. And what a mighty gathering it was! Singers, dancers, storytellers, musicians presented themselves before Their Highnesses with great anticipation. Then the populace was called forward as there was very important business was soon to be conducted.

As all became quiet, Lady Faye de Trees was called into court. She arrived, bid Their highnesses a good-morning and knelt before them. Strangely she was followed by a hooded man, who had remained in the back of the company assembled and only came forward after Faye was called.

With great zeal and joy Prince Cuan reminded all of Faye’s accomplishments and service. He mentioned how Their Majesties were impressed with her work in many different fields. Then were called into court the Order of the Laurel; and as those fine Gentles came forward, Prince Cuan announced that Lady Faye de Trees was to present herself before Their Majesties at the upcoming Pennsic War to contemplate joining this Illustrious Order. Suddenly, the hooded man came towards Faye as she wept in joy, to reveal himself as the Lady’s Lord and Husband. Such hugging and laughing and tears left your Herald with watery eyes and a glad heart.

Lady Faye will be put on vigil Sunday of war week and if acceptable to her, will be elevated to the Order of the Laurel at Atlantia Great Court on Wednesday, 7 August, in the Great Hall, beginning at 6:00 pm.

Your Herald wishes she could be there and hopes that someone with a moving soul-stealer is in attendance.

After the Lady was whisked away by the Order to receive well-deserved congratulations, court was closed, and the tournament begun.

This is a full and fair report of the occurrences of the Regency court. If there is anything amiss, please contact the Herald privately.

In Service,

Dame Wynne ferch Rhodri
