Noble Friends,
The BBC is offering a video/slide feature on the oldest continuously
operating university in the world, Al-Karaouine in Fez, Morocco. The
university was founded in 859 by a wealthy woman named Fatima al-Fihri.
Lovers of Islamic architecture and decoration will adore the fantastic
mosaics and other features. "Eye candy" doesn't do justice to Al-Karaouine.
