[MR] History Blog: Complete atlatl found in Yukon’s melting ice

Noble Friends, Especially Fellow Archers:

A few days back, the History Blog reported the discovery of a complete
atlatl spear in the Yukon Territory. The Blog writer called the spear an
"atlatl", which as most of us know well is actually the throwing device.
The piece in question is a spear or dart. Several Blog readers . . . uh . .
. pointed out the mistake in the comments section.

The spear/dart is thought to be around 1,000 years old, and is in near
perfect condition. It's construction and materials will be carefully
