Noble Friends,
Today BBC Travel is offering a brief illustrated feature discussing the
influence of Johannes Gutenberg and his city of Mainz. There is some very
good history of early printing and the famous Gutenberg Bibles here:
http://www.bbc.com/travel/story/20180507-how-a-german-city-changed-how-we-read
. Note the comments about beards during Gutenberg's time.
What I don't understand is the camo coveralls (or possibly a camo leotard)
worn by the printer working the period printing press. (Sigh!) Life always
needs mysteries, and gives us plenty of them.
Yours Aye,
Mungo Napier, Laird of Mallard Lodge 🦆
