[MR] BBC: X-rays Analyze Mary Rose Cannonballs

Today the BBC is reporting that a powerful x-ray has been used to analyze
the metal in several cannonballs recovered from the Mary Rose shipwreck.
The cannonballs absorbed chlorine during their nearly 500 years in salt
water. When removed from protected storage for display, the cannonballs
began to degrade. Six of the worst cannonballs were sectioned for
analysis.  Researchers hope the analysis will help solve the corrosion
problem.
