Noble Friends,

Today Wikipedia's featured picture is the iconic stave church in Borgund,
Norway. This remarkable building dates to late 12th or early 13th century
and is all wood. No longer used as a church, it is preserved as a museum:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borgund_Stave_Church

The Borgund church is one of 28 historic stave churches in Norway, and a
few others using this construction method survive across northern Europe.
Learn more about these wonderful buildings at
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stave_church . Note that there have been
quite a few stave church replicas built in recent years, including nine in
the U.S. (one at Disney World Orlando).

Yours Aye,
