Unto Your Majesties William and Alyna, King and Queen of Atlantian, Your
Highnesses Cuan and Signy, Prince and Princess of Atlantia, and to the
good people of this wonderful Kingdom does Cian Triton, Principal Herald
of Atlantia, send greetings.

Herein follows an account of the Royal recognitions that occurred at the
Kingdom Arts and Sciences Festival, held in the Barony of Nottinghill
Coill on March 4, 2017

Royal Court was opened in the evening, as Her Majesty Queen Alyna
processed in, accompanied by Their Excellencies of Nottinghill Coill,
Baron Lucien and Baroness Brig. Her Majesty greeted the populace and
expounded upon how much She enjoyed the event and seeing all of the
wonderfully talented artisans that this Kingdom has.

The Queen then graciously allowed Their Excellencies of Nottinghill
Coill to open a court and conduct business, which shall be reported on
separately by Their herald.

Following the conclusion of Baronial court, Her Majesty summoned Lord
Alwin of Nottinghill Coill to come before Her, where she complemented
him on his scribal arts, and felt that he was most deserving of a Coral
Branch in recognition.

Lady Katherine of the Doves was called forth to conduct Pages Academy
business. Signeur Etienne le Mons was brought forth to take a young
man, Viktor, as his Page.

Master James of Middle Aston was called forth to announce the winner of
the Interbaronial Arts competition, which he did after giving a short
class on recognizing Baronial heraldry (yay!). The winner of the
competition, with her amazing painting of life in our Society, was Lady
Umm Samin bint Asad al-Isfahaniyya of the Barony of Hidden Mountain.

Mistress Ragnveig Snorradóttir was invited before Her Majesty to
announce the winner of the Persona Pentathalon, who was Lady Valdoma of
Ponte Alto. As Lady Valdoma returned to her seat, Queen Alyna called
her back to give her an award that had been officially awarded at
Holiday Faire, but Their Majesties had been trying to capture Lady
Valdoma since then to actually present it to her. Having accomplished
that feat, Her Majesty did present Lady Valdoma with her scroll and
medallion for the Order of the Opal.

The new Kingdom Notables of Royal Baker, Royal Brewer, and Arts and
Science Champions were announced and presented in court. Lady Syele
Rose von Dampach is the new Kingdom Baker, Lady Isabele Henry is the new
Kingdom Brewer, and Lord Ihone Munro is the new Kingdom Arts and
Sciences Champion.

Having named Her new A&S Champion, Her Majesty kept Lord Ihone before
her, as she spoke of his amazing skills with leatherwork, and she wanted
to award him a Coral Branch. The first scroll that the herald produced
was actually a painting that had been done by Lord Ihone’s young
daughter, which moved him greatly. Then the official scroll was
produced and read, and loud cheers were heard for Lord Ihone!

The newcomers were invited to come before Her Majesty, and she greeted
them warmly and presented them with tokens to remember their first visit
by. Their Excellencies of Nottinghill Coill also stepped forward and
thanked the newcomers for coming, and hoped that they would come to
future events.

Finally, Birgid O’ Donaghue was called forward, where Their Excellencies
spoke of how long they had known her, and the service that she has done
to them, both in the modern world as well as in the SCA since They
stepped up to be Baron and Baroness. Her Majesty was most appreciative
of those deeds, and felt that it was proper to not only raise Birgid to
the ranks of nobility, but to also give her an Opal in appreciation for
the work that she does.

There being no further items of business, Her Majesty had Her court closed.

This narrative is accurate to the best of my recollection.

Respectfully submitted,

Cian Triton
Principal Herald.
