Unto Your Majesties William and Alyna, King and Queen of Atlantian, Your
Highnesses Cuan and Signy, Prince and Princess of Atlantia, and to the
good people of this wonderful Kingdom does Cian Triton, Principal Herald
of Atlantia, send greetings.

Herein follows an account of the Royal recognitions that occurred at the
Tournament of Ymir, held in the Barony of Windmaster’s Hill on February
25, 2017.

Their Majesties did open a court in the morning upon the field, and
invited Their Excellencies, Baron Callixtus and Baroness Adriana to come
into court with much fanfare. Their Excellencies of Windmaster’s Hill
did hold Their final Baronial Court, which will be reported on
separately by Their herald. At the conclusion of Their Court, the Baron
and Baroness did return Their coronets to Their Majesties for
safekeeping, and retired to their personal lands to enjoy a well earned
rest.

Their Majesties then had Sir Daemon Broussard and Mistress Typhanie du
Loc brought before Them, and did place the Baronial Coronets of
Windmaster’s Hill upon Their heads and charged them with the safekeeping
of the lands which were the first Barony in all of Atlantia.

The Atlantian Spinners Guild, the Company of the Silver Spindle, were
invited to come before the court, where they spoke of the long standing
tradition of creating a shawl for the Queen of Atlantia. Unfortunately,
the person charged with bringing the shawl had been unavoidably delayed
getting to the site, so the Company begged forgiveness, and promised to
present the shawl later in the day.

Their Majesties had the members of the newly formed Alantian Forestry
Guild summoned before Them, where the King and Queen were pleased to
present the guild with the official Royal Charter. The Guildmaster,
Lady Clovis, was presented with the regalia suited for her office.

Baron Kollack, of the Barony of Bright Hills, was commanded to come
before the thrones, where King William inquired if Baron Kollack, after
sitting vigil the previous night, had come to a decision regarding
joining the Order of the Chivalry. The answer was an unqualified ‘Yes’,
and thus the Baron was invested with belt, spurs, and chain. Upon
swearing his oath of fealty as a Knight, Sir Kollack was presented to
the loud cheers of the populace!

There being no further business that morning, Their Majesties had court
closed, and proceeded to prepare for the day’s activities.

During the late morning, as Their Majesties bore witness to some of the
many personal ceremonies that were occurring throughout the field, They
did see fit to approach Eericka Valdemarsdottir and raise her to the
rank of Atlantian Nobility by awarding her Arms.

Later, Their Majesties did gather Their Order of the Chivalry on the
field, and had Lord Aleksei Mihailovich brought before Them. Their
Majesties inquired if it was still Lord Aleksei’s intention to join the
Order of the Chivalry. A humbled Lord Aleksei confirmed that indeed it
was, and thus he was invested with spurs, belt, and chain. On a side
note, before placing the belt around his waist, Aleksei’s lady wife took
a few moments to speak, and her words were indeed most inspiring and
most eloquent, and this herald was quite moved by them. Following the
oath of fealty and the buffet, the King and Queen joyfully raised Sir
Aleksei to his feet to greet his new Order.

Upon the field of battle that afternoon, Their Majesties did open
another small court, where They inducted Lord Floki Geirrekson into the
Order of the Silver Osprey.

As the sun went down, and the day turned to night, Their Majesties did
process in and preside over Their Evening court, attended by all of
Their landed Barons and Baronesses who were in attendance. They
graciously allowed the new Baron and Baroness of Windmaster’s Hill to
open Their first court, the business of which shall be reported on by
Their herald.

Following the closing of Baronial Court, Their Majesties had Merewyn
Scharp and Harper An Cu come before them. The King and Queen had
nothing but good things to say about each of these young ladies, and it
was felt that it was time to raise both of them to the nobility by
awarding each of them Arms.

The Newcomers were invited to come before the thrones, and the King and
Queen greeted each one warmly and presented them with a token to
remember their first event by.

Lady Helena Isabella de Soleure was called into the Royal Presence,
where she was inducted into the Order of the Opal, in recognition of her
service.

A young Edward Tallis was called into court, where he was awarded the
Sea Urchin.

Their Majesties had Dame Elizabeth of Rosewood called forth to conduct
Chiurgeon’s Guild Business. Dame Elizabeth was stepping down as the
Guildmaster of the Chirurgeon’s Guild, and passing the mantle on to Lord
Alesander Davison, ensuring a continuity of those who patch up the
Kingdom’s boo-boos.

Lord John Angus West was summoned forth, and the King spoke of his
prowess on the fighting field. His Majesty then had the Order of the
Kraken brought before Him, and Lord John was inducted into their ranks.

Their Majesties had Baroness Edan Lowery called before them, whose
stunned face showed that she had NO idea what was coming. The Queen
spoke of the amazing service that Baroness Edan has done over the years,
and that it was time it was recognized to its fullest. The Order of the
Golden Dolphin was summoned forth, to loud cheers from the crown.
Baroness Edan was inducted into the order, and many hugs and tears were
seen.

Count Amos le Pious was called forth from his place behind the throne,
where he stands as the King’s Champion, and he was inducted into the
Order of the Sea Stag.

Their Majesties then spoke of a special award, one that is only awarded
once per reign, and that when they began to discuss it, one name
occurred automatically to both of them. Her Grace, Duchess Brianna, was
summoned before Their Majesties to be inducted into the Order of the
Nonpariel.

The final order of business for court saw Lord Llyr of Anglesey brought
before the King and Queen. Representatives from the various peerages
came forward to speak of the service that Llyr does, and proclaim that
he was their Peer. Their Majesties agreed, and thus were minded to
induct Llyr into the Order of the Pelican.

(As a side personal note concerning Master Llyr – 7 years ago, I was
running a Cub Scout Day Camp in Columbia, SC. I had put out a call
asking for some fighters to come and put on a demo for the Cub Scouts.
Llyr offered to help, and drove from the Washington, Dc area all the way
down to Columbia, SC – a drive of 7-8 hours - to spend part of the day
putting on a fighting demonstration for the Cubs. Llyr didn’t know me,
but he saw a request that he could help with, and he did. That’s the
kind of person he is, and I am most happy that he is now a recognized
Peer of the Realm.)

There being no further business, Their Majesties had Their court closed,
and the populace began to change the hall from a Court setup to a Feast
hall setup, a task that was performed quite quickly!
This report is accurate to the best of my knowledge.

Respectfully,
Cian Triton
Principal Herald
