Noble Friends,

Today the BBC is reporting Durham Cathedral has just opened a display
featuring St. Cuthbert's coffin, as well as his pectoral cross and comb,
plus other Anglo-Saxon artifacts. Cuthbert died in 687. St. Cuthbert is
one of the most important and beloved Anglo-Saxon saints:

Cuthbert's coffin, try this Wikipedia site:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Cuthbert%27s_coffin . A biographical
sketch on St. Cuthbert can be found at
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuthbert .

The BBC offered another story on Durham Cathedral's fascinating history
earlier this year; http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-tyne-39288707 .

The Cathedral's own web site offers many interesting photos and stories:

Finally, Wikipedia has an excellent web page on Durham Cathedral:

Whew!
