Noble Friends,

The owners of Gwydir Castle are looking for a missing room, or rather
for the paneling and furnishings from their Oak Parlor. The paneling was
removed from the 16th century Tudor mansion and sold to William Randolph
Hearst in 1921. The parts were installed in one of his apartments, but
later the materials disappeared. It is hoped they are still in the U.S.,
and the Welsh would like to have them back. You can read the story and
see two photos of the elaborate fireplace mantel at
http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-wales-north-west-wales-38512748 .

Yours Aye,

Mungo Napier, Laird of Mallard Lodge
