Noble Friends,

On this date in 1437, Catherine of Valois, former Queen of England, died 
at London after childbirth. Catherine was the former consort of English 
King Henry V of Agincourt fame, and mother of the ill-starred King Henry 
VI. Her marriage to Henry V lasted a little over two years before the 
King died of dysentery while on campaign. She went on to marry, or 
perhaps not marry, Owen Tudor, and their grandson became Henry VII.
