Noble Friends,
Restorers at the Tenby Tudor Merchant House in Wales have discovered
hand-painted decoration during their work on this historic building:
http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-wales-south-west-wales-41027484 . The
paintings are thought to be 18th or 19th century, and will be preserved.
The house itself is believed to be partly medieval, and is interpreted
as it might of looked in 1500.
The building is in the hands of the National Trust and is open to the
public. Their web page with some delightful photos is located at
https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/tudor-merchants-house . Additional
information about the Tenby Tudor Merchant House is found at
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tudor_Merchant%27s_House .
If you are touring Wales in the future, put this one on your bucket list!
Yours Aye,
Mungo Napier, Laird of Mallard Lodge
