Noble Friends,

On this date in 1570, Spanish Jesuits founded a mission on Chesapeake
Bay in what would later be known as Virginia (making this the first
European settlement in the Kingdom of Atlantia). The mission was
intended to convert the native people, and was made of up several
priests and brothers. It included an Indian interpreter named Don Luis
who had been captured in the area some years before and educated in
Spain. In 1571, the party were all massacred by the Indians, possibly
led by Don Luis. The murders ended any Spanish attempts to settle this

Don Luis may have been a more important figure than the Spanish thought:

Yours Aye,

Lord Mungo Napier, That Crazy Scot
