Noble Friends,

Archaeologists from Sheffield University have recently excavated a mass
grave at Thornton Abbey in Lincolnshire dating from the 14th century.
DNA tests have confirmed the presence of the plague:
http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-humber-38146468 . Note the photo of a
beautiful Tau cross found in one of the graves.

English Heritage has an extensive web site about Thronton Abbey,
including several interesting illustrations and an extensive history:
http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/thornton-abbey-and-gatehouse/
.

A Wikipedia page also discusses Thronton Abbey:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thornton_Abbey .

Yours Aye,

Lord Mungo Napier, That Crazy Scot
