To their Majesties, Highnesses, Excellency’s of Storvik and Good Gentles of
Atlantia I send you second greetings,

Please allow me to continue to share my witness of the evening court at
Storvik’s Novice Tourney.

I shall defer to Lady Patricia to tell of the happenings in their Majesties
court for the heat and I were no longer friends and will endeavor to tell
of what happened when the new Baron and Baroness Celric and Ilaria opened
their first court.

The tourneys ended and all were ready to relax so under the blessed shade
of the trees their Majesties allowed their Excellency’s to hold their first
court. A welcome was bestowed to all and a thank you for all that aided to
break the attendance record of the day with over 300 souls on the land.

First their Excellency’s asked for the officers present to attend them and
asked if they were willing to continue in their respective roles. All
agreed and were told they would be well supported by their Excellency’s.

Next a raffle was held for all newcomers in which a beautiful hand painted
silk pennant of Spike was created by Baroness Emma which was given won by
an adorable little girl and to the chatelaine who gave the winning raffle
ticket, Mistress Mary Isabel of Heatherstone, was awarded a bounty of
chocolates in which she happily shared.

The autocrats of the day, Baron Henry West and Baroness Emma West, joined
the court to make the proclamations and announce the winners of the day’s
activities. They were joined by M’lady Tala al-Zahra who announced the
winners of the archery competition.

Their Excellency’s then called into the court the champions of the prior
Baronage. For in her grief Baroness Griele sent word that she and Baron
Badouin would wish they be released of their service to the Barony if they
were to step down. All were released but Their Excellency’s asked that Lord
Ffernfael Kymro stay on as the Storvik Rapier champion. Also called into
court was M’lady Tala al-Zahra and she was asked to step into the role of
archery champion which she gladly accepted. Baron Celric then announced to
the populace that there would be an announcement made in a special edition
of Drekkar prior to War of the other Baronial champions.

The Shire of Roxbury Mill asked for a moment of their Excellency’s time and
when we saw that the envoy sent consisted of cherubic little ones and their
one adult it was nigh impossible to resist their entering the court bearing
gifts to stave off any future raids. The gifts consisted of golden edible
coins and a kneeling cushion with the Baronial arms embroidered upon it
that was even reversible for future enemies to lay their heads.

At this time Her Excellency Emma West asked for a boon of the courts to
announce a couple missed winners including the newcomer’s arts and sciences
competition which were a mother and daughter who brought a very tasty and
lovely cake to their very first event, then gifted it to head table for
feast.

Her Excellency Ilaria then took a moment to address the populace. She asked
that all look upon her and notice that she did not wear any beads upon
herself. She has done so on purpose and asked of the people of Storvik help
rectify this matter. For she shall add a bead for each award recommendation
sent to them. It is this humble scribes opinion that with the hardworking,
skilled and talented people of this land she shall have many heavy strands
to wear in the years to come.

Here in ended the first court of Baron Celric and Baroness Ilaria of
Storvik. May my words be as accurate and true as the winds in their sails.

In humble service,

Baronin Daniela Schwartzhaupt
