Noble Friends,

On this date in 1561 citizens of Nuremberg witnessed an unusual site in 
the sky over that city. The event was witnessed by many people in the 
city, and it was recorded in the primitive newspaper of the time. It was 
described as an aerial battle, and has since been interpreted as an 
infestation of UFOs, perhaps a renaissance Plan 9 from Outer Space. 
Nobody has ever proven what the event was, and it remains a 
controversial mystery and frequent fodder for History Channel programs 
hosted by people having a life-long bad hair day:
