[MR] Court Report Stierbach Baronial Birthday

Unto Their Gracious Majesties Atlantia, Logan and Esa and to
their Rightful Heirs Christoph and Adelhait, Prince and Princess, and to all Atlantia, does Baroness
Wynne ferch Rhodri, Blue Shark Herald, and fortunate citizen of Atlantia send
Greetings and a Report…

This Saturday past, being the Twentieth of June, in the year
of the Society 50, which is 2015 in the mundane world, a great event was
held.  It being the Birthday of the
Barony of Stierbach, the Coronets along with Their Majesties Logan and Esa and the
denizens, of this the fourteenth Barony of our Illustrious Kingdom, held an
event most wonderful.

 While Sol burned high in the sky and the very air surrounding
participants fairly steamed with life-giving moisture, attendees assembled to
participate in activities, rattan and steel, fletched and on hoof.  

In the Great Hall, many gathered to investigate the skills
of the members of this Barony as well as objects diverse, from near and far,
which were for sale.

 Towards afternoon, with nature slowly turning against us,
Their Majesties Atlantia decided to gather together all those attending, to
hold Court enjoining Their Excellency’s of Stierbach Baron Valgard and Baroness Esperanza to do the same.

Within the cool confines of the hall, Their Majesties first
commanded Lord Dietrich Saphir zum Drache and Chris of Stierbach before them.  These two fine Gentles received from the
hands of King Logan and Queen Esa, medallions showing all that they were Bowman
Elite of Atlantia.

 Johanna Van Den Vaers was also called to appear before the
Thrones.  As she had sadly left the hall
earlier, Their Excellency’s of Stierbach collected the scroll announcing the
lady as a newly-made member of the King’s Missiliers!  Great are the skills and abilities of
Atlantian archery; may Her enemies beware!

 Never ones to stint Their beloved subjects, Their Majesties
then called William de Hirst before Them, and welcomed him into the ranks of
the nobility as Lord William in recognition to his abilities as an archer… (See
above underlined statement!)

 It was then that His Majesty turned to this Herald and
commanded that she call in the noble Order of the Golden Dolphin.  As those gentles gathered before the thrones,
King Logan admonished us that there was one missing.  We all agreed and to the joy, delight, and
surprise of all He strode with purposeful steps towards Baron Valgard av Mors,
pulled him from his seat and presented him to the court as the newest member of
Atlantia’s order for distinguished service and leadership.  Great were the cheers for such a fine
personage, but Their Majesties were not yet finished with both surprise and
recognition Calling in the members of Atlantia’s Order of Defense,
Logan, King of Atlantia admonished them that they too, were short a
member.  These three fine gentlemen
agreed and after a brief search, both they and the King reached the missing
individual, Master Flaithrí Ó Cearnaig, whom they brought before the populace
and presented him with a writ to contemplate entrance into the Order of
Defense, during this year’s Pennsic War. 
Master Flaithrí, accepted the writ and the populace will be invited to
give counsel and advice to him and others, at the Atlantian Pennsic Vigil
Village, Tuesday, 4 August, from 07:00 pm until ?, at The Fort.

 Well…court was not over
yet!  One more Atlantian gentle needed to
be recognized and after the cheers had died down, Master Dante de Pietro was
solemnly called into court.  Escorted by
his Lady, this Atlantian entered the court and knelt before the thrones.  With a gentle, emotion filled voice; Queen
Esa began the ceremony to induct Master Dante into the Order of Defense.  He was presented with the collar of the Order
and instructed that it was both badge and constant reminder of the vows of Service
and Chivalry he was to live by.  He was
then presented with white gloves, bearing the Orders Badge as well; these were
from his Household.  Reminded that in the
days long past, gloves were used in challenges, he was soon to discover that a
hidden meaning was included in the gift. 
Master Dante will be very busy with many challenges from members of his
household very soon!


However, your Herald is
terribly remiss…for I had nearly forgotten another important occurrence.  Earlier in the afternoon, sometime before the
afore-mentioned court, another smaller court was held by Queen Esa.  As a dear member of the Barony of Stierbach
was leaving not only the site but Atlantia as well, Her Majesty, with the
grateful assistance of Baron Valgard and Baroness Esperanza, Lee of Stierbach
was called to stand before the Royal Presence and given an Award of Arms.  Lady Lee was reminded that, although she
might be leaving Atlantia, she would be sorely missed and would always be
welcomed home should she ever choose to return.

And so, the day ended
with a feast, revelry and good partings and promises to see one another again.
