[MR] BBC: Outworks of Flint Castle Uncovered

Noble Friends,

A temporary dyke around Flint Castle has been uncovered during 
construction in Wales. The ditch was apparently built as protection 
during the castles construction during Welsh conquest by Edward I:

very interesting map of the castle dating from the early 17th century.
