[MR] Latest Salvos in Richard III Story

M'Lady Chagan,

Yes, macabre. But very English (think MORBID TASTE FOR BONES, or the actual thefts of holy relics by one church from another). I presume his will still exists. I was unable to locate a text online. "Will" used as a very makes the search huge.

On another front, the Richard III Society (http://www.richardiii.net/ ) has some information about the proposed funeral service: " . . . In respect of the nature of the service, the Bishop acknowledged the changes in the church in the 16th century, but confirmed that the form of service would follow that of the established church; however he was in consultation with the Roman Catholic Church through the Bishop of Nottingham who was willing to take part in the service. Bishop Stevens also spoke of his intention to work with the Richard III Society with regard to an appropriate memorial for King Richard . . . ."

Yours Aye,

Lord Mungo Napier, The Archer of Mallard Lodge

The whole thing is fascinating in a sort of macabre way. Has ANYONE gone to the trouble of going over Richard III's last will to see if he specified where he wished to be buried? I would think that would take precedence. I vaguely recall something in an early article that mentioned richard's preference.
