Yes, that's pretty amazing. And hard to follow. Not only is the structure wordy, but the accent masks so much. I once heard someone imitating George Washington in a similar way, and that was equally difficult to follow.
I guess this just proves how much language, especially English, can change over a relatively short period. Maybe the French are on to something?
Can you imagine if we, as re-enactors, schooled ourselves to speak this way?
