The
Mary Rose, one of Henry VIII’s warships, was launched in 1511, and saw her last
voyage in 1545. In honor of this majestic warship (WAR!), raise your sails and
come visit Dun Carraig for a day of Nautical-themed fun(AVAST!)! Come fight and feast and get authorized in
something new for Pennsic!
Martial Activities: There will be Armored Combat, Rapier, and Archery activities, for
honor and glory, as well as honing your martial skills for the great and
impending War at the end of the summer season (WAR!)!
Arts & Sciences: There will be both
competitions and an Arts & Sciences display. A&S Competitions
are:

Item (that could be found on a ship such as the Mary Rose)
--Best Nautical-Themed Poem/Song/”Ditty”

Site: St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 13500 Baden Westwood Rd,
Brandywine, MD 20613
Site Restrictions: No Pets. Contact the autocrat if a service animal is
needed. Alcohol is permitted, but only beer or wine(in accordance with the
Episcopal Church’s rules). No Smoking inside the building or in Public Areas.
Site opens 9am, closes at 10pm.
Feast: Lady Tirzah MacCrudden will be preparing a feast fit
for a royal sea-faring crowd, but hurry! Feast space is limited. Contact
Lady Tirzah (lltirzah[AT]gmail.com) with any dietary concerns.

Directions:
From the DC Area: Take your best route to
the 5 South exit on the southern side of DC Beltway (Exit 7A). After following
5 approx. 9.5 miles take Short Cut Road on left. After .5 mile take Brandywine
Road/MD-381 on right for 5.8 miles. Turn left onto Baden Westwood Rd, arrive at
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on left.
From the Baltimore Area: Take your best route to 301 South. Just before the town
of Waldorf, make a left turn onto Missouri Ave. Continue for 1 mile then take
Brandywine Road/MD-381 on the left for 5 miles. Turn left onto Baden Westwood
Rd, arrive at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on left.
From South of the 301
Bridge: Take your best route to the 301 bridge. Follow
301 approx 25 miles after crossing the bridge and then take right onto
Cedarville Rd. After following for 5 miles take right onto Brandywine
Road/MD-381. In about 1 mile take left onto Baden Westwood Rd, arrive at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on left.
