Noble Friends, Especially Fierce Ladies,

So careful research turns "history" on its head again. There were
acutally many women who participated in the English Peasants' Revolt of
1381, including some in leadership roles. I have read of this revolt
many times, and never seen women mentioned, but until recently history
was largely written by men. We're such shameful chauvinist pigs. This
story talks about how the record is being set straight:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-18373149 .

Don't miss the photo of Lord Sudbury's skull. The axe cut on the cranium
shows he was either struggling, or it was a really unprofessional job
(probably both).

Note that there are several links to other sites on the Peasants' Revolt.

Yours Aye,

Lord Mungo Napier, That Crazy Scot
