The event is over, canvas is drying, the boxes are unpacked. But our hearts
are overflowing with joy left over from Coronation. We are proud to once
again serve Atlantia as your King and Queen, and must share our thanks with
everyone who worked so very hard to make coronation a great event. Over 325
people braved forecasts of doom that did not materialize to join us in
celebrating our Kingdom.

First, we must thank Their Graces Michael and Seonaid for serving the
Kingdom admirably and with great love. They also went along with our plan
to toss out the traditional coronation schedule in an attempt to make the
event more fun for everyone.

And what an event! Some would consider it folly to hold a coronation in the
rainy season at a site with no hall. Not us! We were sure that the event
staff would do a bang-up job, and they did. Lady Gytha (newest recipient of
the King's Award of Excellence) and Sir Bryce (newest companion of the
Nonpariel) showed remarkable flexibility in moving the event from its
intended location to other parts of site in order to avoid soggy
complications; Lord Wolfgang (Moe) cooked an excellent feast that left us
stuffed and wanting more at the same time; Mistress Melisent handled
reservations, including working with the quirks of ACCEPS; Mistress Ceridwen
and Master James administered the armored and rapier lists that Sir Bryce
and Master Aedan marshaled; Lady Leofwynne organized fantastic A&S displays;
Lady Kamen once again ran a fun children's archery shoot; Lady Kateryne
Ferneley made sure we had merchants to patronize;Lord Mateos of Yarnvid took
camping reservations; Lady Emmelut Hansler provided fun activities for our
children. Countless others assisted with all of these tasks.

Setting up in the rain is no fun, and the mud seriously altered everyone's
plans. It is in moments of adversity that we see what we are made of.
Everyone who came approached the event with flexibility and enthusiasm. No
one complained, even as things got moved or changed, and we all kept going.
There was quite a fashion show of rain boots.

Our territorial barons/baronesses came out in force. Thank you for joining
us in court, and for the tremendous work you do across the Kingdom. Our
families were in attendance, and many of you went out of your way to welcome
and assist them. A great many people assisted us and our families
personally, and we appreciate the efforts you made so we could focus our
attention elsewhere. For those who have expressed interest in the ceremony
itself, it was inspired by a period French coronation ceremony used from the
14th through the 17th centuries.

We cannot say enough good things about Coronation. You inspire us, and we
look forward to many more events with all of you in the coming months.

Warmest Regards,
Cuan Rex Padraigin Regina
