I don't think that an Autocrat Fire Patrol(tm) would make a lot of sense.
The solution to this problem is you and me. We see the problem, we take care
of it. We see it happening, we take care of it and patiently explain to the
offender the utter stupidity of his/her actions. We can't slop the job off
to some "authority" somewhere. We have to handle it ourselves.
The Autocrat (Bran) was notified by me personally about the coals I found.
You may rest assured that he is not finding out about this problem via the
Merry Rose. But the autocrat is only one person. The autocrat has enough
issues to worry about. Dumping one more problem on his head won't stop this.
I was pretty sure that the vast majority of you would be both shocked and
surprised that anyone would do something so stupid. In the spirit of "many
hands make light work," I hoped that by bringing this to your attentions,
each of you would join me in watching out for this, and would have the
courage to call people out for dumping hot coals where they could start
fires.
Let's face it, why would you worry about hot coals being dumped? Most of you
wouldn't do anything so stupid, so it would be hard for you to imagine
anyone who would. Until I saw what was causing the smoke to rise above my
truck, I had no idea anyone would be so dumb. Well now we all know better.
Keep an eye out. If you see someone trying to burn down a site, or to fry
the feet of little children, call them out, tell them off, and make them
clean up their mess. You and only you can prevent wildfires, and burned up
trucks, and crispy fried three year olds.
