[MR] Fire retardant tent requirements

Take 2. You probably *have* been on a site that requires tents of flame retardant materials because it is a requirement of the state and/or municipal government. Most states and a fair number of municipalities require tents and other fabric structures of a certain size conform to one of these standards AND be able to prove it. 
   NFPA-701 (National fire Prevention Association)
   CPAI-84 (industrial Fabrics Association Int'l)
   Title 19 of the California Code of Regulations
This will be on a label or printed on the selvage of the fabric. Professional tent and pavilion makers will state which standard their products meet -- often all of them. It is also possible to buy fabric that meets these standards.
