I wish to thank everyone for coming out to Feast of the Saints this past
weekend. I hope you had as much fun as I did! I was a first time autocrat
and you all really made it easy for me. Thanks go to Lady Janna for manning
sign-in at the gate all weekend. The early start time for rapier fighting,
as well as the Afflictions tournament, appeared to be well-received. Thank
you Count Sinclair, Countess Kari, and Lord Antonio for being there to start
the day early so that everyone could fight. I hope to see more of this at
future events - it sure is nice to not have to fight in your personal sauna
during the hottest part of the day. Thanks also go to Mistress Morwenna and
Lord Brandon for manning the Chirurgeon "station."

The themed shoot for archery was amusing and I wish to thank Master Eldred
for creating a fun and challenging, yet simple shoot. Thanks go to Lady
Ceara for running A&S and the Artisan's row. I am told there were people
doing A&S who don't usually do A&S. Hooray! My appreciation extends to
Mistress Dierdre, her Ladyship Gwenhyfyar, Lady Catriona, Mistress Brig and
everyone else I saw helping with the Project Linus activities, as well as to
everyone who donated supplies, their time, and who bid in the auction.
There were 25 blankets collected or made and the silent auction raised
$250.25!

The kitchen crew worked before the event, all Friday evening, and all day
Saturday to present a sold out Feast. You guys rock! Also thanks to M'Lady
Katharine and M'Lady Tori for helping serve feast. Great job! His
Excellency Geldamar should also be thanked for organizing the post-feast
dancing. I was too tired to dance because I wore myself out fighting,
shooting archery, getting my heavy combat authorization - oh yea and
autocratting this event. :-)

I would also like to thank the many of you who I randomly grabbed and asked
for your help throughout the day. You know who you are, and I appreciate
everything that you did; heralding, getting the hall set up, and cleanup are
but just a few. Lastly, I cannot even express with words my gratitude to my
husband, Lord Ben, for helping me out in so many ways. Helping me set up,
clean up, putting up signs, getting me food, and helping me with the fine
details to prepare the site to be turned over from SCA occupation are just a
handful of the ways you were invaluable to me. I could have done this event
without you, but you made it a lot easier. Thank you.

Gratefully Yours in Service,
Lady Isolda Jourdan
Event Steward, Feast of the Saints
