[MR] Response to proposed symbols of rank law

I have struggled to figure out what to say about this sumptuary law.
Honestly, all I can come up with is that I don't like it. As I have come to
expect from Their Excellencies, Eldred and Clare, they have managed to put
into words the many things I don't like about this proposal. It isn't
period. It doesn't seem fair. It flies in the face of a long tradition of
total lack of sumptuary laws. I am glad that the Crown saw fit to ask of my
opinion. Unfortunately the best thing I can say about this proposal is, very
respectfully, please do not impose this law.
