sorry that you missed my point that sca knighthood is just that, sca-defined
knighthood. corpora states clearly that it is for chivalric combat, nothing
else. my comment regarding sir elton john, those with political power,
those who could afford it, and those born into the right family were simply
more examples of real world variations of knighthood. those too are
irrelevant in discussing knighthood in the sca. your contention clearly
seemed directed at how knighthood is done in the sca based on how things
were done in period. thats what i addressed. no flippant comments, nothing
belittling, nothing ignored. i simply tried to help you understand the
differences between the real world, past and present, orders of the chivalry
and the sca order of the chivalry. that isnt going to change and you should
not hold members of that order in disregard simply because you dont agree
with that.

If you would take note, I said PERIOD examples, and mentioned other forms of
martial combat specifically, not musicianship. There ARE period examples to
which I was referring. Choosing to ignore them is petty blindness. And
belittling my opinion with flippant Elton John comments not only goes
against the purpose of this list, but should be beneath someone of your
status in the society.
