[MR] Royal Archery Championship

Good evening!  His Highness and I have recently arrived home from a great
weekend in the Barony of Ponte Alto.  Attending this event was a first for
both of us, and we had a fantastic time.  While beautiful scenery and
pleasant weather certainly helped, the lion's share of the credit goes to
the autocrat, Baroness Emma West, and the outgoing Royal Archer, Lord Miles
de Locwode.  Over 100 people attended, and watching the various shoots was a
lot of fun.  Our entire family shot, although leisurely and not for points.
The lunch prepared by Thegn Brennan and Lord Michael was tasty, well suited
to the season and documentably period.  Thank you very much to everyone who
came, helped, shot and spectated.  The finals were particularly close, and
had us sitting on the edge of our seats!  Hearty congratulations to our new
Royal Archer, Lord Valgard av Mors, who was truly impressive with his speed
and accuracy!
